PTC ceramic heating element is functional in stabilizing, adjusting and self-controlling temperature.
When supplied on the AC or DC voltage, the resistance rate is very low and the temperature rise rapidly under the curie point. If over the curie point, the resistance rate goes up and the current is down to a stable value. So that it can control the temperature automatically, without any thermostat.

Not burning, safe and reliable
Compared with the fuse, the PTC elements would be not turn red and not burning. When the temperature overpasses the limit, the power will be down to a balanced point.

Long life length
As an oxide ceramics, PTC would neither oxidize upon high temperature, nor as fragile as infrared lamps. PTC has a long-time life length.

Wide range of voltage
PTC heating elements normally can work both on low voltage and high voltage. The heat appearance will not be greatly changed if the voltage fluctuates 20%~30%. So it is possible to make the PTC heater that can be used on 100~240V without any structure change.
